Wholesale fruit and vegetables traded on the Can Tho river about 7 km from the city centre. It opens at 02:00 or 03:00 and peaks 04:00 to 06:00. Traders hang a sample of what they sell from a tall pole, the beo, instead of a sign. Most delta floating markets have gone as roads spread, and Cai Rang survives partly on tourism.
121 km of tunnel in Cu Chi district, inside Ho Chi Minh City itself. Two visitor sites: Ben Duoc holds original sections, and Ben Dinh is nearer the city with tunnels widened for visitors. Worth knowing before you go that the site also runs a shooting range and keeps caged monkeys.
