¶ 01 · The stops, in order

Where this route actually goes.

Each stop earns its nights. The quiz decides how long you stay in each, and whether a stop drops off entirely because it is not you.

Stop 01 · about 2 nights

Manila

The arrival city and the plain behind it: four airport terminals, the walled Spanish streets of Intramuros, glass towers at Makati and BGC, and two hours north an ash plain leading to a turquoise crater lake on Mount Pinatubo.

Picks that sit on this route.

From the Philippines file. Real places, filed by people who went, not scraped from a Top 10 list.

Do · The mountain north · Batad

Tappiya Falls hike

A waterfall hike from Batad village, 1.5 to 4 hours round trip depending on the route and fitness, ending at a swimmable pool. A guide is not strictly required but strongly recommended, no signage on the trail, PHP 600 to 1,000.

Do · The mountain north · Banaue

Bangaan Village and Viewpoint

A smaller rice terrace cluster reachable by vehicle, unlike Batad which requires trekking in, a 20 to 30 minute climb to the viewpoint. The easier, half day alternative for the Ifugao terrace and traditional village experience without Batad's multi hour hike.

Eat · The mountain north · Batad

Batad Pension and Restaurant

One of Batad's original homestays, a restaurant looking straight out over the rice terrace amphitheatre. Serves pinikpikan, the traditional Cordillera roasted chicken dish, alongside simple rice-and-egg breakfasts.

Eat · The mountain north · Batad

Rita's Mount View Inn and Restaurant

A family-run inn and restaurant known for warm hospitality, tinola and meals built from mountain-grown local vegetables. A solid second choice in Batad if Batad Pension is full.

¶ 03 · How it becomes yours

The route is the spine. You are the trip.

Five short questions, about three minutes. The plan starts from this route and a library of Philippines trips we have tested, then reshapes the nights, the food and the days to your pace and budget.

No sponsored stops, no filler days. If a place stays on your plan, it earned the spot.
