The Glacier Express arc
6 nights, 4 stops. This is one of the routes we actually run across Switzerland. It is the spine of a trip, not the trip. Tell us how you travel and the plan reshapes it into yours.
Where this route actually goes.
Each stop earns its nights. The quiz decides how long you stay in each, and whether a stop drops off entirely because it is not you.

From the Switzerland file. Real places, filed by people who went, not scraped from a Top 10 list.
Matterhorn Glacier Paradise
A cable car up to one of the highest-altitude stations in Europe, open year-round, with glacier views. Fully self-guided once at altitude, the ice cave and glacier walkways are manageable alone.
Gornergrat Railway
The highest open-air rack railway in Europe, climbing to 3,089m with views of the Gorner Glacier, the Matterhorn and dozens of other peaks. A seated scenic journey, no physical exertion required, good for a lower-effort solo day. Runs year-round.
5 Lakes Walk (5-Seenweg)
A roughly 9km trail from Blauherd to Sunnegga through former glacier terrain, linking five alpine lakes, Stellisee, Grindjisee, Grünsee, Moosjisee, Leisee, the Matterhorn reflects in three of them. Well-marked and well-trafficked, a specific solo hike recommendation rather than a generic hiking suggestion. Best in clear weather for the reflection shots.
Segantini Museum
A purpose-built domed museum (1908) holding 37 paintings and 26 drawings by Giovanni Segantini, who spent his final years in the Engadin. Small, quiet, an easy solo visit.
The route is the spine. You are the trip.
Five short questions, about three minutes. The plan starts from this route and a library of Switzerland trips we have tested, then reshapes the nights, the food and the days to your pace and budget.
No sponsored stops, no filler days. If a place stays on your plan, it earned the spot.
