Zurich
A green river cutting the old town in two, with swimmers drifting down it past stone quays in summer, and a lake at the end of the main street under the twin towers of the Grossmünster.
5 nights, 5 stops. This is one of the routes we actually run across Switzerland. It is the spine of a trip, not the trip. Tell us how you travel and the plan reshapes it into yours.
Each stop earns its nights. The quiz decides how long you stay in each, and whether a stop drops off entirely because it is not you.
A green river cutting the old town in two, with swimmers drifting down it past stone quays in summer, and a lake at the end of the main street under the twin towers of the Grossmünster.
Europe's most powerful waterfall dropping 23 m across a 150 m front, a Rococo library hall of carved wood and painted ceiling, and small green hills of dairy farms.
From the Switzerland file. Real places, filed by people who went, not scraped from a Top 10 list.
Zurich's own mountain, reached by the S10 train, then a short walk to the summit tower for panoramic views over the city, the lake and the distant Alps. A popular solo hike, well-marked trail, easy transit back into the city. Best at sunset, or hike the ridge trail down to the lake for a half-day.
Sliced veal in a cream and white wine sauce with mushrooms. Zurich's own dish, and almost always plated with rösti.
Five short questions, about three minutes. The plan starts from this route and a library of Switzerland trips we have tested, then reshapes the nights, the food and the days to your pace and budget.
No sponsored stops, no filler days. If a place stays on your plan, it earned the spot.
